Cumwhinton School is a thriving school, with engaged and enthusiastic children at the heart of everything that we do. Our new Headteacher should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of school improvement as a senior leader, the ability to successfully motivate and develop the team around them who are professional and positively engaged in our school. They should be continually aiming for excellence but most importantly they should be kind, have the belief that anything is possible and be able to foster this belief in those around them.

The successful candidate will have the energy and passion to lead a successful and safe school and will:
• Profess leadership experience with a proven record of continual whole school improvement
• Be a resilient, confident leader
• Have the ability to manage school budgets and costs
• Have a natural ability to develop the team and the structure around them
• Have a proven practitioner record, demonstrating best practices
• Be working across key stages, specifically EYFS and KS1

The appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including Enhanced criminal records with Barred List checking through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), in line with the Government’s Safer Recruitment guidelines.
