1-1 Teaching Assistant

Fixed Term , Part Time, 1-1 Teaching Assistant until July 2025

09.00 to 12:00 (5 mornings per week) 15 hours per week

Start date – 19th February 2024 or soon thereafter

Kirkbampton CE Primary is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with one of our pupils who has Literacy needs. Applicants must have a good standard of English and Maths to be able to support an upper KS2 pupil. This role is for 15 hours a week, and the working hours are 9.00 to 12.00, Monday to Friday. The post is term time only, plus 5 inset days.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in schools and will have a knowledge of preparing and developing resources for learning activities and supporting learners in small groups and on a 1 to 1 basis, inside and outside of the classroom. They will be flexible, enthusiastic and creative and uphold our school values.  There will also be some break time supervision of children as part of this role.

You will work under the guidance of teaching staff and you will be asked to support access to learning and provide 1 to 1 support. Work may be carried out in the classroom but may include accompanying a specific child on school trips and visits.
