1 x Permanent Part Time Clerk to the Governors – Level 1
Salary: BS3 £23,151 per annum, pro rata (this includes the living wage supplement, hourly rate £12.00). Approximately 9 evening meetings per year plus other duties totalling around 80 hours per annum, term time only.
The governing body of Gosforth C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a clerk to governors who is enthusiastic and interested in school operations, strategy and governance.
The successful candidate will:
• Be accountable to the governing board, working effectively with the Chair of Governors, the Head Teacher and other governors.
• ensure the continuity and effectiveness of governing board business, by providing high quality confidential administrative support, working within the governance legislative framework.
• maintain an archive of records; documenting meetings, governor details, statutory policy details and terms of reference.
• be an excellent communicator committed to being part of an effective team within the whole school community.
• be committed to their own professional development.
