Part time, temporary Maternity cover from 19^th February to 31^st August 2024

The Governors of Maryport Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated Key Stage 1 teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and hard-working team covering maternity leave (days yet to be decided). Newly qualified and recently qualified teachers are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will:

• have recent, relevant experience in KS1
• display a strong commitment to continuing to raise standards and levels of achievement
• be committed to supporting the Christian ethos and values of the school
• have excellent classroom management skills with high expectations to ensure the progress of all pupils;
•  be committed to providing challenging and exciting learning opportunities for all children by motivating and inspiring them;
• be committed to making learning engaging and meaningful, creating a stimulating and purposeful learning environment both indoors and out;
•  be a dedicated, flexible team member who is committed to taking part in the whole life of the school;
• foster good relationships with parents, governors, colleagues and other professionals;
• be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all children.

 SAFER RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION
The school pays full regard to the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. The Governing Body will prevent people who pose a risk of harm from working with children by adhering to statutory responsibilities to carry out appropriate checks on staff or others who work unsupervised with children. Any successful candidate will be appointed subject to Enhanced DBS and pre-employment checks, confirmation of appropriate qualifications and professional references. Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023 an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
