We seek to appoint an enthusiastic kitchen assistant to work as part of a small team, alongside our school cook in charge, to assist in the preparation and serving of high quality, healthy meals for our pupils, complying with food and health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Our current uptake of school meals is around 155 per day.
OP3 Salary: £23,151 pro rata, hourly rate £11.79 with a non-contractual pay supplement to increase to the UK Living Wage of £12 per hour
10 hours per week, 11.45am-1.45pm Monday to Friday
The appointed person will start on Monday, 2 September 2024.
The successful applicant must hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergens qualification, be willing to undertake relevant training when required and ideally have experience of working in a busy kitchen or a school environment. Be flexible and be able to cover unforeseen kitchen staff absences. Good communication skills are required to work effectively as part of a small team.
