Fixed term, full time Maternity cover from 4th November 2024 to 31st August 2025

The Governors of Maryport Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated Key Stage 2 teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and hard-working team to cover a  maternity leave Newly qualified and recently qualified teachers are welcome to apply however experience in Years 5 or 6 is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will:
- have recent, relevant experience in upper KS2
- display a strong commitment to continuing to raise standards and levels of achievement
- be committed to supporting the Christian ethos and values of the school
- have excellent classroom management skills with high expectations to ensure the progress of all pupils;
- be committed to providing challenging and exciting learning opportunities for all children by motivating and inspiring them;
- be committed to making learning engaging and meaningful, creating a stimulating and purposeful learning environment both indoors and out;
- be a dedicated, flexible team member who is committed to taking part in the whole life of the school;
- foster good relationships with parents, governors, colleagues and other professionals;
- be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all children.

Any successful candidate will be appointed subject to Enhanced DBS and pre-employment checks, confirmation of appropriate qualifications and professional references.
