Part Time PPA Cover Teacher – Fixed term until 31st August 2025
3 days a week - Wednesday/Thursday/ Friday 

An opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding school. Our students have complex learning needs and ideally, we would like staff to have SEND experience, however, for those applicants without this experience we do provide full mentoring to support your development of skills and experience in this area. This post is for a PPA cover teacher – this involves covering staff members PPA time so you will be required to work across different classes with a range of pupils with additional needs and abilities.

Main scale M1 – UPS3 plus SEN 1 allowance 
(£30,000 - £46,525) plus £2,539

James Rennie School is a well- established special school in the Kingstown area of Carlisle, With an additional Sixth Form site at St Edmunds Park. We have 180 + students on roll ranging from 3-19 within our well- equipped and modern facilities. We would like the successful candidate to be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner and a good communicator who can display imagination, flexibility and initiative in their work. They will also have experience working with pupils with special educational needs and will be joining an established team of excellent staff in our outstanding school.
