After School Club Leader

Hours: 15.00 hrs per week (Monday–Friday, 3.00pm – 6.00pm)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications
PCD8i - (£29,777 - £30,297 pro rata £15.42 – 15.70 per hr)
Our governors are seeking to appoint an Afterschool Club Leader to manage our Afterschool Club provision.
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who:
• Is passionate about working with children
• Can lead the day to day organisation of the After-School Club.
• Will create a safe, stimulating enabling children to learn providing high quality creative play opportunities in a friendly environment. Embracing each child’s individual needs, unique qualities and personalities.
• Is able to liaise with the school with regard to the needs of the children who attend the After School Club.
• Is able to provide care, play opportunities and activities in a homely and nurturing environment, with regard to the individual development needs of children between the ages of 3-11.
• Fully supports inclusive practice and ensure that all children can be involved in the activities offered if they wish.
• Is able to consult and liaise with the children and involve them in the planning of activities.
Qualifications required: NVQ Level 3
The ideal candidate will be hard-working, enjoy spending time with children, and have high expectations of themselves and the pupils in their care. They will be well organised, motivated to provide fun and engaging activities for the children, and will be effective at working as part of a team. In addition to supporting the children, the successful candidate will manage the day to day operation of the After-School club – a commitment to supporting the life of the school is vital!
