Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Tuesday 6th January 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Salary: Grade 5 (15hrs pro-rata, 40 weeks, £12.42 per hour)
Hours: 15 hours per week over 5 mornings.
Paid weeks per year: Term time only (38 weeks) plus two weeks.

The school will consider, for the right candidate, combining this role with the separately advertised HLTA role. Please contact the school to discuss this further.

The Executive Headteacher and Local Governing Body of Kirkland CE Academy, part of The Good Shepherd Trust are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support learning at this vibrant school. The role will involve both supporting an individual child, and at other times working with groups and other children within the class as directed by the class teacher.

-    is able to work as part of a supportive team and act on both initiative and specialist advice;
-   is enthusiastic and flexible with changes in daily routine.
-    Has a good understanding of, and a commitment to the protection and safeguarding of all children
