The Governors seek to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and hardworking higher level teaching assistant to support the young people of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School.

High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to support learning and development in our Reception and Key Stage 1 classes, as well as contribute your expertise to our Key Stage 2 pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support and interventions to individual pupils and small groups
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, and adapted lessons
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers
• Contribute to the creation of a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Promote the school's Catholic ethos and support the spiritual development of pupils
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve practice
Requirements:
• Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Proven track record of successful HLTA experience, ideally in a primary school setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the wider school community
• Passion for supporting the academic and personal growth of primary-aged children
Desirable Qualities:
• Experience working with children with special educational needs or English as an additional language
• Experience of delivering Phonics
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Creativity and resourcefulness in developing engaging learning activities
• Commitment to promoting the Catholic values and ethos of the school
