Kirkbride Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent, highly motivated class teacher to work in our mixed Year Five and Year Six classroom. We are a small rural school with an extremely dedicated, talented and passionate staff team. We have high expectations of our children and are committed to giving them the best possible educational experience. Due to changing pupil numbers this is a temporary post.
The Head Teacher and Governors wish to appoint someone who can demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for teaching, and who can bring something unique to our staff team.
They should:
• Be prepared to work in partnership with The Head Teacher and Governing Body, and other team members to take a key role in the strategic development of the school.
• An outstanding teacher modelling effective working practices rooted in sound educational research.
• Have the ability and enthusiasm to challenge, motivate and inspire all.
• Have experience of leading a curriculum subject;
Professional requirements
• Is able to positively promote progress, aspirations and well-being of every child
• Has a sound knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum
• Has extensive previous experience of working in a school and teaching KS2
• Is proactive in the working environment, flexible and able to manage change
• Has experience working with pupils with SEND
• Is able to work effectively as part of a team
• Is able to demonstrate evidence of excellence in classroom management and organisation
• Has excellent behaviour management skills
