Senior Teaching Assistant

The Governors at Distington Community School are seeking to appoint a dedicated Senior Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join our friendly and caring school to work within our KS2 unit.

32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4pm, Term time only

PCD7 £26,421 - £27,334 per annum, pro rata (dependent upon experience)

This position is available as soon as possible, however the start date is negotiable on successful appointment. 

We are looking for a highly motivated STA with experience of working in KS2 who is;

•    Caring, nurturing, patient and have high expectations of themselves and others
•    Able to effortlessly build rapport with children
•    Knowledgeable about the KS2 curriculum 
•    Able to demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills

•    Able to promote an inclusive whole school ethos
•    Able to work closely with experienced teachers to promote pupil progress

School Business Manager

The Headteacher and Governing Board are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed School Business Manager to oversee and manage our school’s administration, finance, HR, health and safety and premises. The role also involves line management of the office staff and site manager. The School Business Manager will work closely with the Headteacher, Governors, SLT and Local Authority to ensure the provision of efficient and effective services throughout the school.

•    Proven experience in a business management role, ideally within an educational setting.
