Charanga subscription
Primary Schools booking a Classroom Instrumental Learning (CIL) First Access programme. We expect to provide a free annual subscription to Charanga Music School. To be confirmed once DfE Grant funding is confirmed.

Classroom Instrumental Learning (CIL)Through whole-class teaching you can ensure that every child has an opportunity to learn to sing, play an instrument and create music together in class time.
Our CIL programme is designed to spark children’s musical curiosity through playing, singing, listening, creating and performing.
Delivery details
Weekly programme
Lesson length: One session is a minimum of 60 minutes (45 minutes per hour guaranteed delivery time to allow for instrument set-up, tuning and packing away).
Group Size: one class
Minimum Delivery: one year = 33 sessions (One-term programmes may also be considered subject to Music Service timetabling constraints).
Cost
£57 per session to each primary school for one year group (mixed year groups for small schools), additional classes at a cost of £67 per session.
These programmes are usually subsidised through the Music Hub fund. Further information on Hub subscription packages from September 2024, will be made available once the Arts Council England and DfE has confirmed funding for 2024/25 to the Hub Lead Organisation in July 2024.
We anticipate one term (ten weeks) of CIL will be offered free to each primary school for one year group (mixed year groups for small schools) and access to curriculum resources Charanga and CPD.
Additional classes will not be subsidised by the Music Hub grant.

Our Small Group lessons provide high quality opportunities for students to progress on their chosen instrument and voice with specialist tutors.

Lesson length: Usually 30 minute lesson per group/individual
Weekly lessons.
Recommended group size: 2 to 6 students or individual tuition.
Minimum delivery: 30 minutes per teacher.
Cost
£55 per hour.
20 minute lessons can only be for individuals - not a small group.

Whole class music technology
Whole class music technologyDiscover the world of music with composition as a focus - a six week Class Club/Disco. (5 weeks of focus on composition using Garageband plus final sixth week class disco where the students DJ/perform their pieces to each other).
Use music technology in innovative ways in the classrooom to create music digitally - sourcing and recording sound, learning about sound manipulation, composition and music production using standard IT equipment available in your school.

Flexible: Our tutors can work with you to create a project that suits your group needs and technology.
Creating Music: Compose, record and collate sound, and produce the recorded field samples as a composition.
CPD: Teachers can learn about Music Tech with their class, or sign up for online CPD. Inclusive: Whole Class teaching ensures that every child is included.
You will need to provide IT equipment including basic recording devices, computers or tablets, and download free music tech programmes.
A member of your school staff is needed to support the delivery of the programme - with the opportunity to develop their own skills.

Music curriculum teaching
Music curriculum teachingSupport your core music curriculum delivery with flexible and tailored weekly sessions planned and delivered by our specialist qualified music teachers. All lessons will be based on the Model Music Curriculum and support the National Plan for Music.
We can include a wide range of musical experiences including singing, composing, performing, listening and music technology as part of your curriculum delivery offer.
We can also include CPD for your staff as part of the weekly sessions.

Music nurture groups
Music nurture groupsMusic Nurture Groups use music to develop confidence, social skills, emotional regulation and resilience. The 30 minute weekly sessions, delivered in small groups, provide a calm and nurturing environment for children to explore creativity and expression through the development of musical and instrumental skills.
