Visiting our cemetery and crematorium grounds

We welcome visitors to our grounds, however please be respectful of the surroundings. Don’t allow your dog to defecate on graves or memorial areas.

Keep your dog on a lead and pick up any dog foul.

To preserve the natural beauty of Cockermouth Cemetery’s woodland burial area, we would like to kindly remind everyone that non-natural items such as vases, lights or decorations should not be placed on the graves.

If any have been placed, kindly remove them soon to comply with the regulations. Thank you for helping to protect this special space.
