Maryport’s waterfront was the place to be at the weekend as thousands of people turned out for the town’s sixth Taste Cumbria festival.

Cumberland Council's Carlisle Library has welcomed hundreds of residents since reopening last week, with families, community groups and visitors of all ages enjoying free activities in the transformed building.

Plans to transform the centre of Cleator Moor have taken a major step forward, with Story Contracting Ltd. appointed as Principal Contractor for the £4.2 million Revitalised Town project.
