Cumberland Council has donated surplus Carlisle Library furniture to The Rebuild Site CIC, helping local charities, community groups and businesses while reducing waste and giving materials a new purpose.

A unique new installation celebrating the values of Flimby Primary School has officially arrived at Flimby railway station, thanks to a partnership between Community Rail Cumbria, part of Cumberland Council, Flimby Primary School, Northern Trains and Gen2.

Cumberland Council is set to carry out a programme of surface dressing works on a number of rural roads across Cumberland on 27 and 28 July 2026.
