Paying your Council Tax

Usually the person living in the property is responsible for paying Council Tax, if it is their sole or main residence and they are over 18 years of age.

Setting up a Direct Debit for your Council Tax is the easiest way to pay your bill.

If you fail to pay your Council Tax in accordance with the demand notice issued, you will face recovery action, which may include being taken to court where additional costs are incurred.

The status of being a 'freeman' does not exempt anyone from their obligation to pay Council Tax.
