Company background
Beacon Homecare Services was established in 2002 in the Penrith area by Sandra Crisp, both Sandra and her Husband Dennis worked hard to build Beacon Homecare over the years.
Sadly in 2020 Dennis passed away and Sandra decided to retire and sold her half of the business to Mr Ross Tompkins.
Since then their daughter Julie, who also jointly owned the company, has now resigned and Ross now solely owns Beacon Homecare Services.
He bought Carlisle in 2021 and has since bought branches in Sheffield and Stoke. In the last 2 years Carlisle have grown in staffing with exploring oversea staffing through COS, recruiting new key members along with local recruitment, expanded in geographical areas within Carlisle and strengthened their lead management structure.
Our aim is to enable to remain at home with dignity, safely and the correct support for their needs.
Staff
Ross Tompkins is company Owner/ Director and has over a decade of experience in the healthcare sector originally being a qualified Physiotherapist.
Jo Ruddick is our Group Director and has a wealth of over 30 years knowledge in sales and customer service.
Susan Potter is Registered Care Manager for both Penrith and Carlisle, Sue has worked for Beacon Homecare Services Ltd since 2008. She also has vast knowledge and experience in the homecare industry, having worked in care homes and the community for over 31 years. Sue has achieved her NVQ level 2 and 3 in care, and level 5 in adult management in Social Care and achieved her Registered Manager award.
Lisa Millican has worked in various positions in the care industry for over 20 years, joining Beacon Homecare Ltd in 2012 as a Care Coordinator, completing NVQ Levels 2 and 3 before progressing to Care Manager and then to the current role of Regional Head of Care and Responsible Person.
