Company background

We originally formed as a domiciliary care agency in 2012 under the name Wright Care 2012 LTD and operated as such until 2021 where, for personal reasons, disposed of that business in 2021, within the timescale operating under Wright Care 2012 we had 3 CQC visits all of which received good ratings with no reported concerns, we restarted the business, under Wright Care 2021 LTD in 2022.

The business, as it was originally, is owned by Brenda and Keith Wright.

Our Core values, and mission statement is, as it was always “To ensure the continuity of care and for all individual/s to remain in their home environment for as long as is safely possible”.

We also have the same values when it comes to our staff, treat them with respect, a happy staff ensures our company core values are adhered to.

Staff

Brenda Wright, Nominated individual and Registered Manager and company director.

Keith Wright. HR Manager/Company Secretary,

We currently do not have a designated senior carer; however, we have certain individuals who have been employed by us since our original inception in 2012. Those individuals are tasked to have key roles in our agency ranging from creating care plans/risk assessments, Moving and handling training, first aid responders to instigating staff/service users spot checks.

Testimonials

"WrightCare have been providing care to my 92-year-old Granda since he came home in June 2023. We were very nervous about his return home after 6 months in hospital/care homes and we were very unsure if this would be the right move for him. From the very first phone call to Keith, the care was put in place right away, with Brenda overseeing the first few days to get to know what Granda's needs were before introducing other staff. She kept in close contact with myself and my dad, letting us know how he was adjusting to having 'strangers' in his home. Any questions we had were always answered quickly and both Brenda and Keith always had the time to explain different processes, the way things work and generally put our mind at ease.  Any conflicting opinions between family members for Granda's care have always been dealt with in a respectful, neutral way, putting Granda's needs above everything.  Nothing is ever too much, if Granda is unsettled and we can't get to him, Brenda will ask a member of the team to call round and check on him. Repeat prescriptions are always sorted for him in plenty of time and Brenda has ensured staff are flexible to attend any medical appointments that are needed at home.  Communication is brilliant, either via text/call or using the app. Suggestions are given to us on how to help Granda live his best life at home. I have been at his house when the staff come by and his face lights up when he sees them. They all put him at ease, make him laugh, know what he likes and dislikes, they really do give him a level of care that we couldn't as family members. He listens to them regarding his self-care and will allow them to carry out household tasks that he wouldn't let us do.  He has accepted WrightCare into his life in a way that I don't feel would have happened with another company, allowing him to live at home as independently as possible. We have recommended them to two other families and will continue to do so."

"I have known Brenda Wright of Wright Care since she and her team began providing daily care for mum, taking over from a previous care company. Wright Care provided four visits a day for mum, every day, so the carers could take care of various personal needs. The quality of care provided by Brenda and all the other carers who visited mum was first class. Mum’s care wasn’t easy – she was chair/bed bound and required equipment to be used for moving her around, but the people from Wright Care were always very patient and kind with her, and it was clear that her welfare and comfort were their top priorities when they were visiting her. Mum passed in April of 2023 but Brenda and her team made a huge difference to her quality of life from the time they started the visits to her final days, and I can vouch for the fact that mum always very much looked forward to the visits.  Since mum’s passing, we have continued to use Wright Care for help with dad and  the professionalism of the team and the quality of care provided continue to be of the highest  standard. I would definitely recommend Brenda’s care team to anyone as I have seen first hand the difference it has made in my parents’ lives."

"We have been with WrightCare since they restarted up in 2022.  As a family we feel very lucky to have Brenda and the girls support mum. The team openly care about mum and have supported us through some difficult times. Nothing is ever too much trouble, we often have to alter visits at short notice as family come up.  This is never too much trouble, likewise when we need extra visits due to mum having bad days and they regularly accommodate hospital and day centre visits if family are unable to transport."
