Supported living for vulnerable adults

Supported living helps vulnerable adults including people with learning disabilities, sensory impairments and complex care needs.

Our kind and compassionate staff work with you to build life skills and interests within your own home and the wider community. The staff are well-trained and experienced, with ongoing development opportunities to further enhance their skills and knowledge. They collaborate services to make sure the best outcomes for the individuals we support.

Individualised and person-centered support

We provide a choice of when and how you wish to be supported, giving you control over your own home, activities and social life. 

Dedicated and knowledgeable staff help you to achieve your goals and to live as independently as possible by providing a range of support such as:

• personal care
• help with medication
• making and attending appointments
• managing bills and budgeting
• daily living skills
• support to go on holiday
• participating in community activities

Support is tailored to meet your needs and preferences, if you need only a few hours a week or 24-hour care and support.

Supported living services in Cumberland

There are two supported living services operating in the north of the county:

• North Supported Living – covering Carlisle, based at Carlisle Civic Centre and,
• Northwest Supported Living – covering Carlisle and Workington, also based in Carlisle, at Cumbria House
