If you live in Cumberland, are over 18 and are a tobacco smoker, there are a number of ways we can support you to give up smoking for good.
We can provide you with expert advice and support, and have a range of stop smoking medications available, including access to free vapes.
No matter what you choose, you can be confident you will be supported to set a quit date and be guided through the options that are available, and right, for you.
Support you will receive
Your stop smoking support, from a pharmacy or from a coach, is available to you for up to 12 weeks.
During that time, you can expect support to:
- set a quit date to start your smokefree journey
- understand how to manage triggers
- receive helpful advice to cope with urges and cravings
- receive up to 12 weeks free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)
Where you can go for support
Specialist coaching support
We provide more specialised one to one and group support in the community through our stop smoking coaches. They will discuss your options, can take your carbon monoxide readings and will help you to manage your quit with helpful advice and support.
Quitting smoking can be very challenging and our coaches can provide stop smoking support if you are experiencing mental ill health, homelessness, long term health conditions or are receiving support around substance prevention.
Once your referral is received, it will be reviewed by one of the team who will then contact you to let you know your options.
