Millom History Group
Join us to help uncover Millom’s amazing history. Anyone interested in history is more than welcome.
When: Every first Saturday of the month 10am to 12pm.
Photography
Welcoming group whether you`re an experienced photographer or keen hobbyist; come along, develop new skills, share ideas, get creative.
When: Every last Tuesday of the month 10.30am to 11.30am.
Sensory and quiet time
Enjoy a quiet atmosphere with sensory resources for both adults and children.
When: Wednesday 3.45pm to 4.45pm.
Lego Club
Lego themed fun for children over 5. Please note this is an unsupervised activity so parents and carers need to stay and join in with the construction work.
When: Every Tuesday 3.30pm to 4.30pm
Rhyme Time
Regular rhyme sessions for under 5`s with their parent and carers.
When: Every Wednesday during term time 10am to 10.45am.
Tech Time
Drop-in for anyone with IT queries - Tablets, Phones or Laptops - with friendly advice from our IT volunteer.
When: Every Tuesday 10am to 12pm.
Creative writing group
A new group who get together to work on their creative writing skills, new members are welcome. Ask as member of staff or come along to the next meeting for more information.
When: Every Monday 1pm to 3pm.
Social @ the library
Come along and join us to meet new people, chat and enjoy varied activity sessions.
When: Every Friday 1pm to 3pm.
Health and wellbeing support
This library provides:
- Macmillan cancer drop-in and cancer awareness - this is through the Macmillan Cancer information Project
- specialist collection of books and DVDs to answer questions on autism
- dementia resource bags - these are aimed for use at home with individuals or family members affected by dementia to promote reminiscence or discussions
Books that can help with your health and wellbeing
Books can be recommended by GPs or other health professionals from the relevant Reading Well list.
