How to get here
The library is in the town centre on the high street.
Parking in the vicinity is strictly limited. There is no nearby street parking but there are numerous car parks around the town.
Hourly bus service between Wigton and Carlisle. Bus stop 300 yards from library.
Trains to Carlisle and Barrow and all stops in between.

Knit and natter
Get together for a chat, with some knitting and crochet or your own craft project.
When: First and third Friday of every month 1pm to 2.30pm
Creative wellbeing
Come and join your local NHS Living Well Coach at Wigton Library to play old school board games or do some craft, enjoy a cuppa with some company and have some fun.
When: Every Tuesday 2pm to 4pm
Board games
Join us for some fun and competitive board gaming. Drop-in anytime. Suitable for all ages.
When: Every Thursday all day
Lego Club
Lego themed fun for children over 5. This is an unsupervised activity so parents and carers need to stay and join in with the construction work.

Piece and quiet
Join us for a day of putting jigsaws together. Drop-in anytime. Suitable for all ages.
When: Every Friday all day
Mindful Monday
Colour yourself to calm. Join us every Monday for the soothing art of colouring.

Health and wellbeing coach drop-in
Support and guidance from a Cumberland Council Health and Wellbeing Coach.
When: Wednesday 10am to 12pm; Thursday 2pm to 4pm; Friday 9.30am to 12pm

This library provides:
- Macmillan cancer drop-in and cancer awareness - this is through the Macmillan Cancer information Project
- dementia resource bags - these are aimed for use at home with individuals or family members affected by dementia to promote reminiscence or discussions
Books that can help with your health and wellbeing
Books can be recommended by GPs or other health professionals from the relevant Reading Well list.
