A bumper programme of open-air theatre events will be held in Carlisle this summer.
Three performances by The Pantaloons theatre company will be held at Talkin Tarn Country Park, Brampton and Kingmoor North Nature Reserve will host its first ever open-air theatre event.
For all events, please bring along seating and a picnic. At Talkin Tarn, the events will be held on the hard standing on the waterfront. The tearoom kiosk will be open serving a selection of tasty treats.
Thursday, 6 July: The Pantaloons presents Emma at Talkin Tarn Country Park, Brampton CA8 1HN
Performance starts at 7pm
Meet misguided matchmaker Emma as she tries to play Cupid in this hilarious yet faithful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s satirical story.
This fast-paced, physical and funny show is filled with romance, music and The Pantaloons’ own charming brand of theatrical chaos.

Sunday 16 July: Handpicked Productions presents The Promise at Kingmoor North Nature Reserve, Chandler Way, Carlisle CA3 0JY
Performances at 11am and 2pm. BSL interpreted.
Ideal for 6+ but all welcome. Based on The Promise by Nicola Davies and Laura Carlin.
Free to attend, but donations are welcomed.

Two sets of shipwrecked twins - who lost their doubles years ago - unknowingly end up in the same place at the same time. Chaos ensues; but will the searching siblings find each other in the end?

Follow the Pantaloons down the rabbit hole for their own hilarious take on Lewis Carroll’s nonsensical novel.
All the unusual suspects are here: the mirthful Mad Hatter, the perpetually late White Rabbit, the quarrelsome Queen of Hearts and, of course, the adventurous Alice herself.
A delightfully anarchic show that gets curiouser and curiouser with live music and audience interaction.
