The Beacon Museum’s successful programme of hands-on art and craft workshops continues this spring.
The museum’s range of activities can provide a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, or a way for friends to relax together while creating their own work of art – or new skill - to take home.
Each workshop is led by a professional in their field.
The events are as follows:
7 May - Glass Fusing
13 May - Candle Making
27 May - Calligraphy for Beginners
3 June – Making a Dried Flower Crown
10 June – Lino Printing
11 June - Oil Painting for Beginners
All the workshops are suitable for beginners and the necessary materials, as well as light refreshments, are supplied. For costs, timings and to book, visit the museum’s website.
The Beacon Museum, on Whitehaven’s picturesque waterfront, boasts four floors of interactive family fun. It has fascinating artefacts and exhibits on the local area, a programme of popular touring exhibitions and regular family-friendly events.
