CUMBERLAND Council will host its first artisan fete of the year at Distington Walled Garden next weekend.
On Saturday 15 April the event will be held at the garden, from 10am to 4pm, with an array of local businesses showcasing their crafts at an outdoor market.
A spokesperson for Cumberland Council said: “We have some fantastic new additions to our fete line-up to keep all the family entertained.
“Visitors can walk an alpaca, feed a pygmy goat, or enjoy refreshments in the garden café.
“There will be a range of stalls selling food for man and dog, jewellery, leather goods, soft furnishings, bath bombs, macrame and candles.
“A storyteller will keep the kids entertained and experts will be on hand to provide information on composting to help residents go greener.
“There really is something for everyone, it’s an event not to be missed.”
The fete is free to enter. For more information about the event, contact Cumberland Council by calling 01946 598305.
