Cumberland Council has invested £112,000 in a resurfacing project at Dyke Nook on the A591.
The resurfacing work comprised of a carriageway resurfacing project which enhanced the road's durability and quality. This involved reshaping the road surface, replacing ironwork for future maintenance accessibility, and renewing line markings throughout.
The resurfacing project was completed earlier this month.
Councillor Denise Rollo, Cumberland Council’s Executive Portfolio Holder for Sustainable, Resilient and Connected Places, said:
“The resurfacing project and investment at Dyke Nook demonstrates Cumberland Council's commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient road network.
“I would like to thank the Highways team for their hard work, and thank the residents, businesses and visitors for their patience and support while we improve the roads in our area.
