Barrier improvement works – Georgian Way, Carlisle

Highway worker and van

Cumberland Council will begin barrier improvement works on Georgian Way between Victoria Place junction and the Civic Centre, in Carlisle, starting Monday 4 November.

To complete these improvements safely, work will primarily be conducted from the grass verge along Georgian Way. The project is scheduled to run from Monday 4 November, for three weeks (until Friday 22 November), weather permitting.

Work will take place Monday to Friday, from approximately 8.00am to 4.00pm, with no weekend work planned. For the duration of the project, work will primarily take place from the grass verge, allowing the footpath to remain open and minimising disruption. At certain times, Cumberland Council staff will guide pedestrians safely through the area while barriers are being delivered.

The council thanks the public for their patience and cooperation during this important project and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
