Cumberland Council encourages residents to download Waste Calendars ahead of website transition.
Cumberland Council is advising residents from legacy areas of Carlisle and Copeland to download their current waste collection calendars as soon as possible.
This proactive step is necessary because the waste collection calendars currently available on the legacy council websites will no longer be accessible from the end of November.
The council will notify residents through its website and social media channels when updated calendars become available. In the meantime, residents, especially those in Carlisle and Copeland, are encouraged to download their current collection schedules to ensure they have the information they need. Residents in the Allerdale area will still be able to access online calendars.
As part of the transition to a harmonised online platform, Cumberland Council’s website will become the sole source for waste collection information.
The council also reminds residents of the following:
- Allerdale and Copeland: Garden waste collections have concluded for the year, resuming in 2025.
- Carlisle: Garden waste collections will continue on a reduced service; residents should consult the online refuse collection dates finder for updates, before the end of November.
