Cumberland Council is delighted to announce the grand opening of the newly regenerated Devonshire Street in Carlisle, marked by a celebration event, where everyone is invited.
The official road opening will take place during the week commencing Monday 5 August, with a celebration event planned for Saturday (3 August) from 1pm to 6pm.
To commemorate this significant milestone, Cumberland Council, in collaboration with local contractors Eric Wright Civil Engineering Limited and businesses on Devonshire Street, invites the community to join a vibrant celebration event. The festivities will include a music stage set up on Devonshire Street, and will be opened by the Castle Ward member, Councillor Anne Glendinning.
Working with ‘Rock With’, the event line up is as follows:

- 2pm: Ryan Davidson - One of Cumbria's finest solo artists, known as the frontman of Indie Street Club, performs a range of songs from Stereophonics to Gerry Cinnamon.
