A festive event planned for Carlisle this Sunday (24 November) has been postponed.
Storm Bert has been forecast for this weekend and as high winds are expected, the event will not go ahead as planned.
The Met Office has weather warnings in place for Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November. Agencies are working together to prepare for the effects of the storm.
Our priority is the safety of those taking part and attending the event. We hope to reschedule the event to another date and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The Carlisle Teenage Market will go ahead as planned inside The Lanes Shopping Centre tomorrow (Saturday 23 November).
