Cumberland Council is updating residents and businesses of scheduled evening improvement works on the A595, A594 and A596.
The improvements consist of carriageway inlays which will involve the replacement of worn-out sections of the above roads to include drainage and road markings.
Works will be carried out by Connect Roads through their contractor Balfour Beatty, and are planned as follows:
A595 Moota, Bothel - works are scheduled to commence on Monday 5 February for five nights, weather permitting, under night-time road closures from 7pm to 6am each night.
A594 Chagford Villas, Ellenborough - works are scheduled to commence on Monday 12 February for three nights, under night-time road closures from 7pm to 6am.
A596 Northside Roundabout Approach Westbound (outside Northside Primary School), Siddick - works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday 14 February for two nights, under night-time road closures from 7pm to 6am
To enable the council to complete works safely, it will be necessary to close each of the roads, as mentioned above each evening, a fully signed diversion route will be organised for each or the scheduled work.
If residents or businesses require access to their property, we kindly request that this is discussed with the Traffic Marshal who will be on site during the works, please be aware that there might be some delays accessing properties.
Access will be maintained for emergency services during the works.
Cumberland Council wishes to thank the community for their continued support and patience while improvements are made to the road network and apologises for any inconvenience.
