Inclusive Cycling Hub event planned

Following the successful re-launch of the inclusive cycling hub at CSA, Hensingham last month, Cumberland Council is pleased to announce a second open event on Saturday 21 September between 10am and 12pm.

The event is made possible through the support of The Outdoor Partnership, Cyclewise, Cumbria Sports Academy, Wheels for All and of course some fantastic volunteers.

A range of adapted bikes will be available to offer the opportunity to try cycling on a safe, dedicated circuit and with support.

Booking in advance helps us to ensure we have a cycle and helmet for everyone taking part but is not essential. Bookings can be made via Eventbrite

Look out for more dates being announced shortly, including October half term.

The inclusive cycling hub is part of the coastal programme funded by HM Government’s Coastal Communities Fund and Sellafield Ltd’s Six Social Impact multiplied programme. The coastal programme aims to strengthen the coastal destination offer for both residents and visitors and increase sustainable employment opportunities by shining the spotlight on Cumbria’s largely undiscovered stretch of coastline.

Completed elements of the Coastal programme that aim to bring improved infrastructure, art and adventure to the coast are as follows:
