Cumberland Council would like to update residents and businesses of upcoming highways work on Stanwix Bank in Carlisle, starting on Friday 26 April at 7.00pm.
The project requires the installation of a new manhole frame and cover on the southbound lane of Stanwix Bank opposite Cromwell Crescent. The lane closure will be in place from 7.00pm Friday 26 April until 7.00pm on Sunday 28 April.
Due to the high volume of traffic in this area, the lane will remain closed for most of the weekend to allow sufficient time for the materials to set, which is essential before we can reopen the lane to traffic. This will mean that there will be a period of time, when there is no activity on site.
Cumberland Council wishes to thank the community for their continued support and patience while we improve the road network and apologise for any inconvenience.
