Harraby Cycle Circuit is a 6m wide purpose-built cycle circuit which was opened in 2018. At its full length it is 1km long but there are a number of different routes that can be taken to create shorter laps. Located behind Harraby Community Sports Campus on Edgehill Road the circuit provides a safe, traffic-free environment for cyclists of all ages to learn to ride, ride for fun, train or compete on.

Scottish BMX school will be at Sunday’s event running three one hour BMX workshops for children as well as BMX demonstrations. Reece Thompson is the creator of Scottish BMX School and has over 15 years of experience with flatland, a freestyle BMX style performed without ramps, rails or other obstacles.

Reece has showcased his amazing skills at the UCI Cycling World Championships which was held in Glasgow last year. Reece said: “I am really excited to come down for this event and share our passion for flatland with the kids of Carlisle, we can guarantee every participant will learn at least one trick.”

With mini go karts and a bouncy castle there’s something for all the family at the Harraby Cycle Circuit Show & Tell event.

Anyone planning to attend is asked to bring their bike and bike helmet.
