They are passionate about their learning, whether in the classroom or out of doors; our experienced staff provide a carefully planned and broad and balanced curriculum and all children are supported so that they can all access this fully.

Crosscanonby & Crosby is a very caring community. We embrace our lovely village and our families but also feel part of our larger education group (ASSP- Aspatria Small Schools Partnership). We are a small village school which allows us to really get to know each and every one of our children. In turn, they feel a strong sense of belonging.

The successful candidate(s) should be:
• A dedicated and caring early years practitioner with a L2 or L3 relevant qualification
• Able to work as part of a team
• Dedicated to the well-being of all the children at the school.
• Creative and flexible to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Be able to foster strong relationships with parents, governors, colleagues and other professionals.
• Play a full and active role in the wider life of the school
• Committed to their own professional development.
•    Have good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

We can offer:
• A good school (November 2022).
• Happy children who love to learn.
• A supportive and welcoming staff team.
• A fantastic learning environment
• A commitment to your ongoing professional development.
• A commitment to offering all children access to a wider curriculum.

Crosscanonby St John’s C of E School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and well-being of its pupils, engages with young people and staff in Policy and practice developments, proactively encourages feedback and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Shortlisted candidates will be expected to complete a safeguarding declaration form.
