School Nursery Cook

The post will commence on Monday 15th April 2024.

Frizington Nursery School & Preschool are looking to employ a School Cook who is dedicated, loyal and passionate about providing nutritionally balanced home cooked food. We would like the candidate to be able to cook high quality lunches, dinners and prepare snacks for our Nursery children on a daily basis during term time. The post holder will order, prepare and cook high quality food that meets the mandatory School Food Standards. 

Term Time +1week, 20 hours per week. Permanent. 

. The successful candidate will; 

•    Hold a level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergens qualification (This can be completed prior to starting the post) 
•    Be willing to undertake relevant training when required. 
•    Ideally have experience of working in a kitchen environment. 
•    Have good communication skills with both adults and children. 
•    Manage the up keep of our current 5-star environmental health rating. 
•    To be proactive and manage their duties within the allocated time. 
•    Display a professional attitude at all times and desire to continue their professional development.
•    Work constructively as part of a team.
