A unique opportunity has arisen for a talented and creative teacher to join our dedicated team.  This is a temporary appointment covering maternity leave, teaching a mixed key stage class (Years 1, 2 and 3).  This is an exciting opportunity for any teacher seeking to work in an innovative, creative and supportive learning environment. 

The Governors of Hallbankgate Village School are looking for a highly motivated and skilled practitioner to lead and deliver an exciting and challenging curriculum in a mixed key stage class; taking subject leader responsibility as part of this role. The successful candidate will also be able to significantly contribute towards the whole school development of extending and promoting writing, oracy and a love of reading. •    be an outstanding practitioner with excellent subject knowledge, high academic expectations and a passion for working with young children;

•    be experienced in working with the relevant year groups and show evidence of recent, excellent classroom practice relevant to that age range;

•    promote and secure equality for all pupils;
•    be experienced in teaching and supporting the wider development of children with SEND;
•    create a positive and encouraging climate in which children are respected, valued and feel safe;
•    be a well-organised, resourceful and proactive team member; 
•    be self-motivated to drive improvement in their teaching and subjects, contributing to whole school improvement and development;
•    Reflect systematically on the effectiveness of lessons and approaches to teaching 
•    be committed to the school’s learning culture and initiatives;
•    show flexibility, adaptability and excellent time management required for working effectively in a small school environment; 
•    be motivated by new opportunities, professional development and action-research learning; and   
•    be an inspirational role model, and be fully involved in the life of the school.
