Part Time Permanent 25 hours per week, split shift, Monday-Friday 7.15am-9am and 3pm-6.15pm all year round.

 Annual holidays (actual weeks to be confirmed depending on any continuous service) to be taken during school holiday periods.

The Governing Body seek to appoint a conscientious Site Manager/Caretaker to join our staff as soon as possible. The appointed person will supervise a team of cleaners, working together to deliver a high-quality service, providing a clean and hygienic school environment which meets specified cleaning standards.  It will involve working inside and outside, ensuring the school and the grounds are secure, well maintained and clear of rubbish, carrying out minor repairs and reporting faults that require specialist assistance.  

Standard duties will include: 
•    Daily opening of school and securing the premises at the end of the school day
•    Carrying out cleaning, handyperson activities, routine maintenance, minor repairs, porterage and safe storage of equipment and resources
•    Shared keyholder responsibilities, being a point of contact for security and fire alarm monitoring and response

The ideal person should have the following skills and knowledge:
•    Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions 
•    Good knowledge of the basic maintenance required for school premises
•    Good DIY skills
•    Ability to communicate well with children and adults
•    Appropriate knowledge of first aid
•    Awareness of COSHH regulations
•    Ability to work on own and as part of a team
•    Ability to identify own training and development needs and co-operate in development and training opportunities 
•    Use of relevant equipment/resources
•    To be flexible and able to work to deadlines
•    Experience of cleaning large premises
•    Good standard of numeracy and literacy
