The Governors of St Begh’s Catholic Junior School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and capable teacher to join our friendly, committed and experienced team. We welcome applications from teachers at all career stages. Management responsibility and/or leadership of maths is a possibility, but not a necessity. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply.

The successful candidates will:

•    Be effective, lively and committed teachers with high academic and behaviour expectations.
•    Be committed to inclusive practice where each child works towards their true potential.
•    Preferably be experienced in teaching in Key Stage 2.
•    Be open to the continual development of their teaching skills using sound educational research as a framework.
•    Be dedicated to effective teamwork and the development of open, positive and professional relationships with families.
•    Have a passion in specific curriculum areas and have the ability either now or in the near future to drive whole school improvement through dedicated subject leadership. (Please state curriculum strengths in your application.)
•    Be motivated and fully prepared to participate in the wider life of the school.
•    Be practising Catholics or persons committed to the Catholic ethos of the school.
