Part time 0.6 fixed term Maternity cover
Required for September, the Governors of Maryport Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and hard-working team to cover a maternity leave.
This post will cover PPA and management release time from 1st September 2024. The days are negotiable and could be 3 full days or a mix of mornings and afternoons. Applicants are asked to detail curriculum specialisms or interests.
The successful candidate will:
- have recent, relevant experience
- display a strong commitment to continuing to raise standards and levels of achievement

- have excellent classroom management skills with high expectations to ensure the progress of all pupils;

SAFER RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION
The school pays full regard to the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. The Governing Body will prevent people who pose a risk of harm from working with children by adhering to statutory responsibilities to carry out appropriate checks on staff or others who work unsupervised with children. Any successful candidate will be appointed subject to Enhanced DBS and pre-employment checks, confirmation of appropriate qualifications and professional references. Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023 an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
