Permanent, Part Time, School Kitchen Cook 

Salary: OP5 £23,893 pro rata FTE, per annum £12.38 per hour, pay award pending, (21.5 hours per week, term time only) 

Start date: 7th January 2025 The Governors of Rosley CE School are seeking to appoint a qualified and committed School Kitchen Cook to oversee the catering in our school. The post is permanent.

The post is part time, 21.5 hours per week, to work each day of the week, term time only (plus occasional school INSET days and 3 days during holiday periods for deep cleaning). 

Purpose of the role 

To manage our on-site kitchen and provide the children and staff in our school with wholesome, tasty and varied meals.

We are looking for someone who: 

•    • has a commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children 
•    • can ensure the effective management of the school kitchen 
•    • has excellent cooking and baking skills 
•    • will maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the school kitchen 
•    • is able to complete all the H&S requirements for the kitchen 
•    • will contribute to the promoting healthy eating habits for life 
•    • will ensure value for money and minimise wastage 
•    • is committed to supporting the Christian vision, values and distinctiveness of our school
