Salary: PCDC7  P12-P14 £27,711- £28,624 per annum pro rata/£14.36 - £14.83 per hour term time only.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. Your Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the early development of children in our Foundation Stage, ensuring they thrive in a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:
•    Supporting Teaching and Learning: Assisting the class teacher in delivering creative, hands-on lessons aligned with the EYFS framework.
•    Individual and Small Group Support: Working with individual children and small groups to provide tailored support, ensuring all learners are engaged and achieving their potential.
•    Creating a Stimulating Environment: Helping to prepare and maintain a dynamic and engaging classroom environment, including setting up activities and managing resources.
•    Observation and Assessment: Observing children’s progress, recording key achievements, and contributing to assessments in line with the EYFS framework.
•    Encouraging Independence: Supporting children in developing key life skills such as personal hygiene, social interaction, and early problem-solving.
•    Promoting Inclusion and Wellbeing: Building positive relationships with children, fostering an inclusive ethos, and ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

About You:
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual with the following attributes:
•    Qualifications and Experience:
o    NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or equivalent (essential).
o    Previous experience working within an EYFS setting (desirable but not essential).

•    Skills and Knowledge:
o    A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and how to support children’s development.
o    Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.
o    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
o    Creativity and enthusiasm to contribute to a vibrant, interactive learning environment.

•    Personal Qualities:
o    A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.
o    A passion for early childhood education and a belief in the importance of these foundational years.
o    A proactive attitude, ready to step in and support wherever needed.
