Permanent Part-Time Class Teacher of Early Years and KS1 (0.44)

Shankhill CofE Primary School is an exemplary small rural primary and nursery school with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally for excellence in teaching, learning and curriculum provision as recognised recently by Ofsted, SIAMs and as a CUSP Lead School.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our staff team from 1st September 2025. This vacancy is in our Class 1, teaching our mixed Nursery to Year 1 class of pupils each morning, and includes Year 2 each afternoon when some of our Nursery children go home. The successful candidate will teach alongside two experienced STAs, and share the class with an experienced and supportive part-time teacher. Our current teacher is moving / emigrating after being happily with us during the last few years, helping to develop and shape Shankhill School so successfully.

Salary Pay Range - MPR 3 – U1

The advertised post is 0.44 FTE, (Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday) teaching two days with additional PPA time and staff meeting usually held on Wednesday afternoon/afterschool. There may also be opportunities to cover additional PPA and regular supply work across the school for the right candidate, if interested.
