Financial help to promote bus or community transport services

The Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG) can be used to support bus services, community transport and infrastructure.

The grant can only be used for:

  • supporting bus services - for example, marketing and advertising costs
  • community transport - for examples, start-up costs to run a lift share initiative
  • for the provision of ‘infrastructure’ supporting such services - for example, buying a new bus shelter
  • supporting community transport linked projects without the restriction to section 19 operations

How to apply for the grant

To be considered for the funding programme, we suggest you get your application in early in the year.

All applications are considered on a first come first served basis and will depend on funding still being available.

Email you completed form to the Integrated Transport team.

Email: integrated.transport@cumberland.gov.uk

After you apply

Your application will be reviewed by the BSOG Application Board.

The Board's decision is final and there is no internal right of appeal. They will give reasons to all applicants as to why an application has or has not been approved.
