Hammond's Pond includes a variety of recreational features:

• Two car parks, off Blackwell Road and off Buchanan Road with free parking
• Café - Open daily from Easter to 31 October, 10am - 4pm 
• Public toilets 
• Childrens play areas
• Full sized and junior football pitches
• All weather Multi Use Game Area
• Miniature Railway and Headquarters of the Carlisle and District Model Engineering Society Miniature Railway: 2pm - 4pm Sundays only (Easter to end of October)
• Flat accessible paths running throughout the park providing circular routes
