Represent the voice of cared for young people

Courage Influences Creative Change (CICC) are young people aged 10 to 16 years representing the voice of all young people who are cared for.

The young people involved CICC campaign on issues identified by young people and make changes for young people. The group are currently working with education to raise awareness around support offered and what they feel that should look like.

A few things young people have been involved in recently:

  • Corporate Parenting Board Takeover
  • Residential; Young people attended a residential at Hawes End, taking part in team building activities and workshops around corporate parenting, identity and future campaigns.
  • Language That Cares – Voice Recordings; young people took part in a session designing avatars and recording voice overs for their language that cares video.
  • Language That Cares – Workshop development; young people have been designing a workshop to deliver to professionals around the Language that Cares campaign

Cumberland Youth Voice participation and engagement groups meet fortnightly in both the Carlisle and West areas.
