To apply for a permit please complete a dropped kerb application form.

Please give at least four weeks notice before you plan to start the work.

Along with your completed form, please also include a site plan, showing the site location. Your contractor should be able to supply you with a site plan.
If there is a marked parking bay in front of where you are proposing to drop the kerb, you will have to pay to have the Traffic Regulation Order amended.
If there is a street lighting column near to where you are proposing to drop the kerb, please email ian.harker@cumbria.gov.uk. Columns are expensive to move and you would need to cover the cost.
