Submit an application for a dropped kerb

To apply for a permit, complete a dropped kerb application form.

You will need to give at least four weeks notice before you plan to start the work.

Site plan

Along with your completed form, please also include a site plan, showing the site location. Your contractor should be able to supply you with a site plan.

Marked parking bays

If there is a marked parking bay in front of where you are proposing to drop the kerb, you will have to pay to have the Traffic Regulation Order amended.

Street lighting columns

If there is a street lighting column near to where you are proposing to drop the kerb, email highways@cumberland.gov.uk.

Columns are expensive to move and you would need to cover the cost.
