As the cold months roll in, Cumberland Council is stepping up once again to help residents and businesses prepare for winter with its latest ‘Winter Ready’ campaign.

The transformation of Maryport Activity Centre is almost complete and it will reopen to the public in January 2025.

With the drive home for Christmas about to begin, thousands of people in the North West will benefit from safer roads thanks to an additional £177 million to fill potholes and repair roads, announced by the Government today.
